On November 13, 2012, the Catholic Common Ground Initiative held its second annual “As Those Who Serve”ceremony honoring a Chicago leader whose ministry exemplifies dedication and commitment to ecclesial communion. The 2012 honoree was Rev. Daniel P. Coughlin, former chaplain to the U.S. House of Representatives, 59th in history, and first Catholic, to fill the post. The local Chicago northsider celebrated with friends and colleagues as they lauded his more than 50 years of service.
