An evening of prayer and dialogue held at Catholic Theological Union

How can the Church become a more vibrant force in its witness to the Gospel both locally and globally?  Kevin Ahern presents four characteristics or “marks” of a vibrant church by appealing to commonalities in the ecclesial visions of Cardinal Bernardin and Pope Francis.   Kevin Glauber Ahern, PhD, is an assistant professor of religious studies at Manhattan College.  From 2003 to 2007, he served as the President of the International Movement of Catholic Students (IMCS-Pax Romana).  He is the editor of Visions of Hope: Emerging Theologians and the Future of the Church (2013) and the author of Structures of Grace: Catholic Organizations Serving the Global Common Good (2015).   He is also a member of the Catholic Common Ground Initiative advisory board.
