Biographies
Lisa Sowle Cahill is J. Donald Monan, S.J. Professor at Boston College, where she has taught theological ethics since 1976. She is the past president of the Society of Christian Ethics, and of the Catholic Theological Society of America. Her most recent book is Theological Bioethics: Justice, Participation, and Change. She has served on the Catholic Common Ground Advisory Committee since 1998. She received her A.B. from the University of Santa Clara and her A.M. and Ph.D. from the University of Chicago.
Peter Casarella is professor of Catholic Studies at DePaul University and the Director for DePaul’s Center for World Catholicism and Intercultural Theology. His areas of theological expertise include contemporary Catholic theology, medieval Christian thought, and Latino/a Theology. He received his PhD from Yale specializing in the Philosophy of Religion. Peter has previously served on the CCGI Advisory committee.
Bishop Michael W. Warfel is the Bishop of the Diocese of Great Falls/Billings, Montana. Born in Elkhart, Indiana, he was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Anchorage on April 26, 1980. He was ordained and installed as the fourth Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Juneau, Alaska, on December 17, 1996 where he served until November 20, 2007 when he was appointed to Great Falls/Billing. He is a member of the Catholic Common Ground Advisory Committee, Chair of the Bishop’s Subcommittee for Catholic Home Missions, and member of the Committee for International Policy and National Collections.
